You need to dust off. But I was interested in individuals who have a cloud of things in an open space. How do they have the patience to wipe it all off? Who will explain?

I am one of those people. I'll start with the background.

As far back as I can remember, my parents always had empty walls at home and it maddened me. It is good, of course, when there are several rooms in the house, yes in each closet, but ...

Now I live with my husband in a one-room apartment. I used to have all sorts of statuettes and model models of motorcycles in all the cabinets (I like them, my relatives still give some motorcycle interests) and books, plus some hamster-handicraft joys ... And then the problem of storage was ripe ...

A wardrobe is an awesome thing. Especially when a bunch of bags, baskets, boxes, containers with handicraft accessories. They can very well be shoved there. And now the fun part. Where to put the aforementioned models and figurines. Plus something that is periodically sculpted by my hands.

The exit asked for itself, because there was still no place in the closet for a lot of things. I had to attach an open shelf to the wall, there are a couple more in the plans.

As a result.

The bookcase is periodically overheated and wiped, mostly once every couple of months. The shelves are moved every time the main cleaning is done (this happens once a week). Most of my figurines are put together and sent to the shower with a low pressure, then on a towel or dry clean cloth to dry. Anything with feathers is fanned with a synthetic brush. The rest is wiped off with a damp cloth.

Sometimes I catch myself thinking that it would be nice to buy a can of compressed air, so as not to send small things under the shower every time you clean (everything together weighs pretty well).

I also occasionally raid the contents of the shelves, as a rule, when the mood is not ice. Then I completely change the arrangement on all shelves.

As a designer, though not an interior designer, I also don't understand the dominance of open shelves a bit :) It's impractical, yes. But sometimes this is justified: for example, the room for massive wardrobes is small, or all things are needed constantly and with the ability to evaluate with a glance in a couple of seconds. Still do not forget about collectors of something, but such people usually like to devote time to their hobbies, think over some showcases, or like to clean up and examine their values.
And if you take into account the rest, many do not dust off often, or they are not cleaned at all, since in an interior with a large number of things this is simply not very noticeable: the main thing is that it is generally tidy, good textiles and a clean floor are important. You can also use a vacuum cleaner for figurines and books. And for such insta photos everything is put in order, in life everything is often more prosaic, that's the whole secret of such a cozy space.
