All these components are important, you cannot take and refuse one of them without harm to health. Ducan's diet is a protein diet, fats and carbohydrates are very limited here, how can this harm? Yes to many:

  • metabolism is disturbed, with fat the body breaks down muscles, without carbohydrates the body cannot completely break down fat, therefore, ketone bodies accumulate, which will further lead to metabolic acidosis and acetone poisoning. Later, the kidneys may start to hurt;

  • carbohydrates are important for the proper functioning of nerve tissues, also carbohydrates are a source of energy, without them, the body becomes very difficult;

  • Fat deficiency also leads to negative consequences, it plays a large role in water metabolism, is part of cell membranes, in addition, a lack of fat can cause the development of Alzheimer's disease.

Of course, this is a small part of the problems that can arise with this diet. Perhaps, if you are healthy and young, then the Ducan diet will not bring many problems, but who will say for sure ... Therefore, it is better to choose more correct diets, without serious consequences.

I'll tell you about my experience. I sat on it for five days and regretted it very much. To begin with, you have to eat a huge amount of protein, because this is a very satisfying food of hunger, you will not even have time to feel how you will have to already eat the second serving (1.5 g of protein per 1 kg of your weight). From the first day I felt very bad, I did not understand how you can eat so much at all. After a couple of days, I began to feel not very well, nausea, it was hard to move, apathy appeared. But the tiniest thing is that you cannot "empty yourself". Read on the forums, on the Internet, how people suffer, from my own experience I confirm this. During these five days of the diet, I did not lose a single kilogram, but 2-3 centimeters in volume went away. Now I eat almost only fiber, so that everything would return to normal, as before the diet. So my advice to you is, don't go on this diet. Better change your diet: do not eat after 6-7 pm, eat non-fatty foods, in small portions several times a day, give up sweets and starchy foods (replace with honey and dried fruits), not quickly, but you will lose weight.

To begin with, Dukan's book contains many absurd claims. The claims that “water and pure protein break down cellulite” and that the diet “converts fat stores into glucose” is clearly not scientific sense.

Dukan also prohibits spinach as containing sugar. although in reality this is 3.6 g of sugar per a huge portion of salad per 100 g, while referring skim milk to unlimited consumption products (13 g of sugar per glass of milk).

One of the main provisions of the diet is tough limiting fat intake. Dukan absolutely forgets to mention that for normal functioning, the human body needs at least 40-50 grams of fat daily.

Among other things, the use of exclusively low-fat foods is fraught with the fact that, in the absence of fat, the body will stop absorbing fat-soluble vitamins ( such as vitamin D), which will limit the absorption of calcium and other minerals.

Dukan categorizes carbohydrates found in vegetables and whole grains as "slow sugars", implying that such carbohydrates are absorbed slowly, in contrast to " fast sugars "contained in flour or sugar.

In fact, many vegetables raise blood glucose levels faster than pure sugar, and it makes no difference for the body whether cereals or flour were ground - whole grain or plain - the effect of both on insulin levels is almost identical.

Based on the fact that the composition of human milk is in a 5: 3: 2 ratio (carbohydrates, fats, proteins), Dukan concludes that this e ratio is the "golden ratio", and it is the most harmonious and correct for the nutrition of an adult.

It is important to note that there is no research to support this opinion, and the statement is only a private opinion. In addition, even if the ratio of 5: 3: 2 is optimal for infants, this does not mean that it is ideal for adults.

The Dukan Diet can easily be considered the least favorite diet among professional nutritionists. Shock weight loss caused by a sharp rejection of fats and carbohydrates is not long-term - in 80% of cases, weight lost during the diet returns.
