it's no coincidence that you posted the old man Freud on the cover - I think that it was he who opened the door, or better to say, removed the taboo from the topic of sex and spoke about it from the standpoint of science, popularized sex and gave sexuality the most important meaning in life. And society responded to this and accepted the paradigm proposed by Freud where libido is the cornerstone of a person. There is even an interesting parable about five wise Jews, each of whom offered his own foundation to society: Christ said that a person is bad because his heart (essence) is bad, Solomon said that a person is bad because he has a bad head (stupidity), Marx said that a person is bad because of poverty (exploitation), Freud said that a person is bad from his unfulfilled sexual desires, well, Einstein said that everything is relative and perhaps a person is not entirely bad. This is how paradigms are created. Well, back to the old man Freud -
He did not call for a sexual revolution, but the exaggeration of the role of sexual attraction in the mental life of a person, characteristic of his teaching, served as a justification for calls for "emancipation of sensuality". Philosophers, psychologists, psychotherapists became interested in him. He quickly became popular and fashionable. Being unfamiliar with Freud's teachings became an indicator of ignorance.
But, did he solve any problems? Hardly. But the topic of sex has become popular and widespread. It has become an indicator of the development of democracy in all countries.
Things have come to the point that today Western propaganda inspires a fooled public that a person does not and cannot have other virtues other than sexuality. A person, regardless of gender, must be sexy or at least have an appropriate look. This is especially emphasized when characterizing the president of a country, a movie star or a proletarian. I have heard the opinion that any scientific report will not be perceived and will not sound properly if the speaker does not look sexy enough. And this idiocy begins to dominate in all countries. And no one even tries to object and remind about other human dignities.
The peculiarity of Freud's psychoanalysis consists, in particular, in the fact that he reduced all the diversity of the unconscious to sexuality, to the action of libido. At the same time, in his opinion, consciousness performs exclusively the functions of inhibition (a kind of censorship). In this his underestimation of consciousness is quite obvious.
All the same, the ideas of the Jews turned out to be very strong - Marx influenced by his teaching and changed half of the world beyond recognition with his ideas (mainly the eastern ones). Freud changed the other half and also beyond recognition

Human society is obsessed with sex, because it is a measure of a person's "success". A simple example is a virgin guy, a loser, a loser, a nerd. The guy who has many partners - macho, male, the best. Society is obsessed not only with sex, but also with the size of the genitals, the make of the car, the watch, the presence of a beard and tattoos, and money. How to eradicate this? Either deprive society of all this, or deprive society of such views.

Root out? Excuse me to root out? Basic instinct, thanks to which humanity exists at all?
So, do you really think that people's interest in sex is a weed that grows out of misunderstanding, and from which you need (and possibly) get rid of? Original, very original ...
