The same cow doesn’t need this skill, because for her everything that looks like grass under her feet is food, and everything else does not.

As for people, a person sees the world as his taught. If you were shown a little train as a child and said that it was red, you will perceive this color as red. The same engine in another family was called brown-crimson and for the second child it will be just that. The more colors will be shown to the child, the wider his color perception will be, and if the first child sees ten identical red balls, then the second will easily distinguish them by the shades imperceptible for the first.
