As a child, they glued bones to my fingertips with a plaster, who is this doctor? The case was in the hospital in 2005-2010.
I was in the hospital when I was little, I was lying because of abdominal pain. There was a doctor (an elderly woman) in the children's department, who called me into her office, pressed on my stomach, asked where it hurts, then examined hands, knocking something with a hammer (like a neurologi...

January, 2021For the first time, I heard about the fact that in the United States paramedics walk in uniforms on the streets from our pediatrician who trained in the states. He said that the profession of a doctor and a nurse there is very, very warmly perceived by people. You walk in your little white robe, everyone looks at you with admiration. The health workers themselves are also proud of their profession. Hence the desire to show your status to everyone and everywhere :)

January, 2021Where we live, many of our neighbors are diverse health workers. I never see them walking towards the metro in overalls, but from the metro to the houses - quite often (and the civilian dress is obviously in the bag).

January, 2021I heard that a similar practice began to be applied in the United States and Europe. Of course, walking on the street in a hir suit or dressing gown, you will bring a huge amount of various microorganisms to the hospital. However, it is believed that this will help fight the so-called nosocomial infection. It is caused by bacteria that are constantly in the walls of the hospital and have already developed certain mechanisms of resistance to antiseptics and antibiotics. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to treat such infections. Now nosocomial (nosocomial) infection is the scourge of medicine. So the option that patients can get sick in the hospital due to microorganisms brought in from the outside is much more predictively positive (trivial in terms of therapy). Community-acquired infections are usually much easier to treat.

January, 2021I actually want to say something about this. Medical clothing is designed to protect the healthcare professional and patient too. That is, according to the rules, you cannot walk down the street wearing medical clothes, because there are a lot of bacteria, infection and street dust outside, which can then get into the patients' wards on these clothes. Therefore, they do not act very cool there.
In general, no one does that in life there. I have no idea why they wear medical clothing at home and go to work. Perhaps this is just a script for the series and nothing more.
It is also dangerous to walk down the street in medical clothes. If a medical worker is on the street in a dressing gown / suit, then he is obliged to provide medical assistance to everyone who needs it (myocardial infarction, someone just felt bad and everything like that). And if he does not, he will be jailed.
But if without a robe, then he can run away. Nobody will say anything. Well, this is already on the conscience of each separately.
