Genital surgery during the transition from a man to a woman (Male-to-Female, MtF) can be performed in two ways: by the method of penile inversion and the sigmoid method.

In the case of the sigmoid method, the "organ" is removed. The female organs are reconstituted from a portion of the sigmoid colon.

In the case of penile inversion, only the corpus cavernosum (which is enlarged during erection) is removed, while the skin of the penis and glans are retained. A couple of incisions are made over the organ, in which a semblance of a clitoris is formed from the head and the urethra is removed. After some manipulations, the skin of the penis is turned inside out and placed in a specially formed depression "where it should be", where it is fixed.

This is plastic, so everything is made from its own fabric. It is simply cut out and the skin is screwed into the opening made under the vagina. These operations are performed in plastic departments. But there are few of them in Russia. My friend's brother performed such an operation here in Moscow. By the way, I was surprised by this. As a rule, everyone goes abroad. but my friend told me that they did it very well, all the operations were completely successful. I recently saw him, well, you can't even say that he was a girl. If anyone finds it useful, he did it at the K + 31 clinic in Moscow.

First of all, people who undergo vaginoplasty are women, not men, many of them have been women all their lives.

"Sex reassignment" is an outdated and essentially meaningless term. What we call "biological sex" consists of many components: chromosomal, genetic, gonadal, hormonal, morphological. Most of these components cannot be changed at the present stage of medical development. When transgender people go to certain medical procedures, they do not "change their sex", but bring their appearance in line with their gender identity. At the same time, genital surgery is not the only and often not the most important medical procedure in the framework of transgender transition. For many people, hormone intake is no less important, which allows you to significantly change your appearance and helps you socialize in the desired gender. Finally, many transgender people do not have genital surgery. Some because they do not have access to them (in many countries, including Russia, they are not covered by health insurance, sometimes it takes long and humiliating bureaucratic procedures to gain access to the operation). Others - because the condition of their genitals suits them and does not prevent them and others to perceive them in accordance with their gender identity.

The tissues of the male member are usually used to mimic the external female genital organs. If a simplified version of the sex change operation is used, then they are thrown into a "bio-pit" - a deep well, where caustic soda is added to the biological material, which allows you to break down organic matter into simple and safe "bricks"

Sex reassignment is possible only by surgery. The surgeon has such a pretty basin in the corner of the operating room. It is in this basin that the male sexual organ "disappears" when changing sex.
