January, 2021The feeling of hunger is an instinct that allows a person to continue to live. You cannot live long without food, the work of the whole organism is disrupted. When there is some kind of strong shock (both joyful and sad), it seems to overshadow all other feelings and sensations. So from grief, you can stop eating, not want more love, not look for safety and shelter, because the mental pain is too strong and blocked everything, even instinctive feelings and desires.
