It all depends on the person.
Not all sociophobes and hicks are talented and brilliant, a person's social activity does not imply that he spends so much in society that he has no time to engage in self-development.
You won't become smart because you close yourself in a room. Yes, and for days alone with books on calculus, too, very few people sit.
Who wants to develop - that will be and it does not depend on how much time a person spends on communication.
I know a lot of people who are very developed, intelligent and interesting and at the same time they are the most real extroverts, just like that, and not just extroverts.

IMHO, loneliness is good for thinking and generating ideas, social activity helps to roll these ideas in, other people tend to see flaws in other people's theories and this is not always bad. When a person is alone with himself, there is no one to tell that he is wrong.
