‼ ️The worst moments that happen when you wear contact lenses. 🙀

Each of us, "happy" owners of contact lenses, have repeatedly faced similar situations in life ↙️

➡️The lens broke. You start counting in your mind how many days she could still serve you.
➡️The container or solution was not at hand, you frantically start looking for a replacement.
➡️The lens fell, the lens was lost. Great if you find her! But, most often it disguises itself as a terrain and it is very difficult to find it.
➡️ There is only one lens left in the package and you have to return again and have to return to the glasses again or look at this world clearly with only one eye.
➡️ The lens rolled over. upper eyelid, causes discomfort
➡️The lens is turned inside out, you have to take it out again, turn it out. And it's not a fact that this time everything will work out!
➡️I can't put on the lens the first time. There are such days, either the lenses were changed, or the hands.
➡️ I fell asleep in the lenses. It's good if your eyes are not like in the desert when you wake up. If so, you frantically start looking for drops.
➡️ Got dirt, eyelash, particles of makeup for natlens, which makes it difficult to look at the world with wide eyes.

And I'm more comfortable wearing glasses. I practically never part with them. Since they have good quality lenses - DigiLife FP from Nikon (the country of origin is Japan, for those who may not know). Guys, this is THING! I am in them and driving, and at the computer, and read, and embroider. The eyes do not get tired at all, they are very comfortable. Previously, there were 500 pairs of different lenses and glasses, some for this, others for this, it is very inconvenient until you figure out which ones. And now glasses alone can handle all my needs! Class !! Thanks to the manufacturer Nikon.

I have -4 and -4.5, I have been using it for 10 years. "night lenses" - you put it in your eyes at night, you sleep, and in the morning you have 100% vision. I must say that they are much thicker and tougher than ordinary ones, and I have not learned how to put them with my fingers (Nevertheless, it takes 3-5 minutes to insert the lenses from the force.

What can I say by the pluses: 1) no need to worry about whether the lens fell out or not during the day; 2) there is no need to drip eyes to moisturize them; 3) there is an opportunity to scratch the eye as much as you want, and nothing will move anywhere; 4) I personally feel uncomfortable spending the whole day in lenses, this is the main reason why I chose night; 5) during the night there is a "massage" of muscles that does not allow atrophy and fall of vision even lower, more useful than ordinary lenses and glasses.

Cons: 1) more expensive than ordinary lenses (they cost me ~ 15k hryvnia under the contract, but this is for a year, every month check + ultrasonic cleaning) in comparison with ordinary lenses ~ 500 UAH per month; 2) the most obvious disadvantage - if you do not spend the night in them, in the morning you will have your own vision. That is, if you are not sleeping at home and did not take them with you - you see nothing, did not sleep at night - the same thing. Moreover, it falls gradually (if you do not sleep at night), that is, at first you see the shop sign worse than usual, then you see it blurry, and at the end of the day you are not at all able to read what is written there; 3) if a vessel has burst or if it's just not a day for the lenses (there is a feeling of discomfort in the eye, you miss the mark, or you just don't like something in the eye - you won't see anything either; 4) the most unpleasant thing is when you wake up from a terrible pain in the eye - the vessel has burst or it has shifted. It is very unpleasant and difficult to get it, firstly you want to sleep, secondly tears are flowing, and thirdly - you probably know how disgusting it is if you immediately turn on the light when you sleep, and now add to this what you need to get lens. Brr, this is rare, but it still exists.

And to answer the second question, I think it's best to try glasses and lenses to know what exactly works for you.

What inconveniences have you experienced when wearing contact lenses? What is the best way to correct vision: glasses or lenses?

When I just started wearing contact lenses (about 8 years ago), the biggest problem is to insert them in the morning. Could spend 10 minutes on one eye. Now this problem is not. The hand is already full. Also, before my eyes hurt terribly, if I suddenly forgot to take off the lenses and fell asleep with them, but now everything is fine, tk. I found the right lenses for me.

Now there is only 1 inconvenience: I want long nails, but I'm afraid to gouge my own eye out. I very painfully pinched my eye with long nails when I tried to pull out the lens: D But I can say that this is my personal problem, because I know girls who have very long almond-shaped nails that do not interfere with putting on and taking off lenses.

Now I hardly wear glasses, because:

  1. I have a lot of sports activities in my life. Chances are good to break glasses.
  2. The glasses have "borders" that limit the view.
  3. The glasses are fogging up. Once, while walking on the subway at rush hour, my glasses were very foggy (temperature drop), because of this I slowed down, and the uncontrolled flow of people hit me against the wall. Now I never wear glasses if I have to go during rush hour.
Definitely to the question "which is better?" you cannot answer. Here you have to look at the circumstances. Allergies may appear on the lenses, for example. And glasses are not quite natural vision, tk. there is a distance between the eye and the glass. But it seems to me that the best thing is to alternate glasses with lenses.

For 11 years of using these I have tried almost all varieties (in terms of operating time, from one-day to annual), as a result, for the last 7 years I have been wearing the first option, because:
- more hygienic (regular replacement)
- more comfortable (very soft)
- minimal / complete absence of consequences for the cornea, ranging from irritation and dryness, and ending with ulcerative keratitis (since the highest oxygen transmittance among all contact lenses, and we remember that the cornea receives oxygen directly from the air )
Yes, you need to get used to them, because you can't put this soft cloth into your eye right away)) But learn very quickly. And yes, many are frightened off by the budget required for daily replacement - and so, with proper care, they can safely wear for up to a month (but this is direct for Jews)). The most optimal is 2 weeks, nothing happens to them during this period (the main thing is not to roll them in the sand :)). And all these menacing recommendations of the manufacturers are "no longer! 1" just for more profit :)
