In addition to a contrast shower, going out into nature helps a lot. better to the places where you were in your youth, when you did not think about much. or wherever you have pleasant memories. better without connection and internet. You just need to find a way to switch from obsessive thoughts to others.

The reason for this state, in accordance with the philosophy of yoga, is a false ego - the concept that permeates our consciousness "I am acting, everything here depends on me." This arrogance, constant self-reliance is the reason that a person cannot relax and is forced to resort to artificial means such as alcohol.

There are several ways to get rid of this chronic and very dangerous disease. The simplest of them is to try to take the position of the observer and instead of "thinking" to stand in the position of observing your thoughts. This, in fact, is called meditation. To begin with, to prepare yourself for such an unusual role, you can watch your breathing for a minute or two. This in itself will lead to relaxation. If we then begin to observe our thoughts from the side, trying to catch the moment of the origin of thought, we will be surprised to find that there will be fewer thoughts, and deep relaxation will come to us by itself. The problem is that it is difficult to keep yourself in this state. However, a few minutes of practice each day will help us learn to separate our real self from the ever-stressed mind, full of unnecessary worries and obsessive thoughts, and relieve the stress caused by them.

Nothing. A person sweats and thinks as long as he is alive. Some, no doubt, manage to get rid of thoughts for a while, but what is a minute, freed from consciousness, if thought is almost the main resource of the Universe?

Personally, I sometimes do not sleep for thirty-six hours, and all because of a single thought that has been dragging along my convolutions for seventy-four years and has never interrupted my flight for a second. Think as long as you are capable of this worthy act, and it will certainly bear fruit.

Take a contrast shower. This is the first thing to do. If it is not possible, even just washing with cold water will help.
Eat a slice of lemon, chewing thoroughly.
Quickly do 50 squats in a row.
If no one sees you, jump with your hands up. Easy without straining. I don't know why, but this strange method always works :)
If no one hears you, start singing, first loudly, and then quieter and quieter. Tongue twisters also help out.
Take a deep breath and exhale sharply.
If there is a loved one nearby, play any quick word game, even in the same cities :)
But I just do not recommend meditation if you are not do it regularly. And even more so if they are prone to obsessive thoughts :) Abruptly and immediately meditation is obtained by very few people, most likely, it will have the opposite effect - you will only become more obsessed with what is happening in your head.

Meditation is a very effective way. And not in a religious sense. You just need to sit back and try not to allow any thoughts in your head at all. At first it will be hard, but then it will get better.
Extreme sports also helps. And the sport itself as such. With loads and adrenaline, you won’t think too much.

If you are very worried, first of all, you should notice the physical aspects of your excitement: hot, goose bumps, breathing, chill, a lump in your throat, etc. Then you should focus on this physical aspect as much as possible.

For example: you are hot. You ask yourself questions, - But I wonder, I'm hot now, how hot is it? Where is it hot? At what specific point in the body? Can I make it cold? Let me try ...

Be curious about your physical condition. Watch only for them. After 15 minutes, the physical discomfort will disappear, and the calmness that comes after him will surprise you very much.

There is great advice from the Tibetan lama Lobsang Rampa. It is necessary to imagine as tangibly as possible that you are on a clear day under a tall birch (birch - because the alternation of black and white on the trunk also helps). We peer into the trunk and begin to look up from the root. Attention is scattered on the branches, and it is simply impossible to trace the leaves. When the mind's eye gets to the top of the crown, it is seen against the blue sky. The leaves move slightly, which additionally interferes with focusing attention. The crown is blurring, blurring in the sky ...

And when the attention function is turned off, then thoughts also dissipate. This is where it is not difficult to fall asleep.

I have been using this method to turn off my thoughts for many years. I will not describe more obvious ways, such as "soaking" with warm water to relax muscles. There are a lot of them.

I join the previous speaker. Put on your headphones, play the track more authentic and atmospheric, sit back in your chair and just enjoy the music. If you wish, you can add a couple of Jagermeister shots;)

You can put on headphones, turn on psychedelic music and listen to it, plunging into the world of images that this music will evoke. So thoughts will fade into the background, giving way to fantasy.
