Firstly, this is the thrill and pleasure that I get from each smoked cigarette, the cigarette relaxes, calms, gives a feeling of some kind of lightness. Secondly, it is the simplicity and simplicity of the ritual itself. I lit a cigarette, took a drag and you sit peacefully blowing smoke, that's all, everything is simple and without tension, and pleasure and satisfaction are above the roof. Thirdly, there is a feeling that while smoking I am engaged in some important business, when it seems that I am not busy with anything. And the matter is really important, because you cannot not smoke, because without a cigarette the head does not work, thoughts do not fit, concentration is zero, the body itself requires. And when you smoke - as if you closed some fad, did the job, there is a feeling of completeness of a small life segment. Fourth, this is a communication moment. It's somehow easier to get acquainted with a cigarette, topics for conversation come by themselves, and, probably, there is some unifying point - after all, everyone in the smoking room is busy with a common cause or something. Sometimes with some people at first it is difficult to find some common ground, something in common, but in the smoking room you already have one unifying factor - your love for tobacco, other points of contact on this basis are easier to find. Fifthly, it is a very pleasant smell and taste of tobacco, which rarely gets boring and which you want to feel again and again. Sixth, it is, of course, a wild nicotine addiction to cigarettes. At first it is a little scary and even depressing, in the sense that you realize the lack of volitional control over this process, you cannot put an end and stop yourself, at least for some time, and faster than you make a conscious decision after refusal light a cigarette again, your feet will carry you to the tobacco stall, and your hands, with an ingenuous and familiar movement, will take a cigarette out of the pack and strike with a lighter, and now you are smoking. Faster than realizing that you have fallen off, you will feel that the soul is flying to heaven again, and you feel all the charm of "first" and "second" of this process. Probably, the beauty of nicotine addiction is that it, as a connecting link, binds you to this habit, helps you stay in this comfort zone. There are no pangs of conscience, moral appeal, problems of choice, because the choice was made a long time ago, perhaps you have not yet realized it, the choice was made with the first delay. The voice of need is louder than all voices of conscience and morality, the power of dependence is stronger than all the forces of will. And only then you understand what all these thoughts about addiction, fears of it, which pushed you to break with this habit. After all, if everything suits you, then why bother yourself with some thoughts at all, if you like smoking, why condemn yourself to the suffering of fighting the power of addiction. After all, smoking is about pleasure

I have been smoking for 5 years and I do it just because I like it. There is no other reason. Yes, there is definitely an addiction, but for me it is probably not that progressive. I quite calmly can not smoke for several days, I will not feel a lack of nicotine, tar, from time to time I generally forget that I smoke and so am happy when I remember. It sounds stupid, but seriously, when I have a free minute, I start thinking about how to fill it, and then I realize that I can smoke. You stand alone with yourself, smoke and relax. Kaef :)

The very fact of smoking is absolutely nothing. It should be understood that after a certain period of regular smoking, it will no longer cause any sensations like "relaxation", "light dizziness" and so on. However, a non-illusory addiction will remain and you, on a subconscious level, will "go out onto the balcony" at approximately equal intervals of time.

However, do not underestimate the "smoke break atmosphere". If you smoke, first of all, you have a reason to go through a five-minute "emotional relief" at any time by thinking about something completely abstract or just looking at the sky. Secondly, if there are smokers in your environment, this can become an occasion for acquaintance, and for closer and more ad hoc communication. As my friend used to say, in childhood you can just sit down with another boy in the sandbox and start an acquaintance, and now a common smoking room performs the same functions.

Don't smoke, please. Not worth it.
