I have a very sad experience in this matter, so I will speak for myself. Esotericism, in its mass representation, is a very stereotypical and incorrect concept. Under this, as a rule, rainbow pictures of a person in the lotus position are presented, in which all chakras open and the third eye glows with a bright light. But in fact, there will be no access to the astral plane, no chakras and a third eye after a couple of hours of sitting in the lotus position. Meditation is primarily a state of calm and concentration. It doesn't matter what, even if you are sitting in the park and looking at the falling leaves. If you are a calm, balanced person, then you will have no problem. It is better for the unbalanced not to face this at all, and even more so not to pay any "teachers". The line is too thin between truth and quackery. It is also very easy to find yourself in sects. Believe me, nothing supernatural and magical that they can promise, real esotericism does not give a dialogue with a deceased grandmother and you will not wait for an answer to universal questions. I can only recommend breathing techniques. Take a short, quick breath and then exhale slowly and smoothly. It seems like this is due to the fact that when you inhale, the heartbeat becomes more frequent, while when you exhale it is calmer and thus you can sort of "normalize" it. Hope I can help someone with this)
Meditation is a great thing. True, you should start exclusively with a teacher, otherwise the exit from it can be extremely unpleasant. In general, the sensations are very cool, you are left alone with yourself and completely relax, while not enduring the brain and without thinking about problems, the answers themselves are in your head.
