First, let's figure out what this news is. The latest mention of "flooding in Georgia" that I have found so far is a video on the Georgian Broadcaster channel. It is entitled "In Tbilisi, on Zhvania Square, a central water supply burst, cellars are flooded." It is noteworthy that this video was found on the website, sputnik-georgia, of dubious content. It can be seen that this is a whole family of sites on each of which, under flashy headlines, news from the world and one specific country are selected (it is easier to simulate relevance in search engines when searching for the word "Georgia", then one of the sites in the collection will be more relevant than if it was one site). The new headline on the website reads: " Flooding in the center of Tbilisi / A real flood occurred in the very center of Tbilisi on Zhvania Square due to a broken pipe ". As you can see, the title is simply invented and manipulative. The purpose of such sites is to click on banners. And the captured incident is obviously local in nature and is not a "flood". Occasionally, such incidents occur in Moscow.

Several other references to floods found are similar: they either pass off a local incident as a global catastrophe, or publish old materials as new.

Second, floods they do happen in Georgia. For example, the flood in 2015, when people and Tbilisi Zoo were affected. Due to the intricate landscape, flooding cannot be all-encompassing there: there are always places above the water level, and there is always a path along which the water will leave very quickly. Only a few streets may be affected, and not in the city center. And this is considered a very large incident of this kind.

Thus, if you put aside the fake news and take a sensible look at the potential for water spreading through the city, you will find yourself passing through Tbilisi and suddenly soak your feet in a "flood" in one attempt almost impossible. Go boldly. I believe that there will be some people who will advise you during this trip to do better without Abkhazia. ;) But this is probably too radical.

Floods? I didn't seem to notice such news. But if this is still the case, then you should be careful because floods are not the best natural phenomenon (in fact, like any other), to be in the know and follow the local news.

What about Abkhazia, I don’t know of course how everything has changed over the year, I went there with my family last year and everything suited me. Beautiful nature, good food and alcohol, no one deceived or robbed us, in general, I have very good impressions about Abkhazia.

Abkhazia is a very hospitable and kind people. Guests are treated with respect (not like in neighboring Gryusia, where they are already looking at Russian tourists from under the forehead. Do not listen to anyone and go to Abkhazia BOLD! In Abkhazia, nature is incomparably more beautiful than in Georgia (lakes, huge waterfalls, rapid mountain rivers and forests buried in dense, dense vegetation). Do not listen to Beka Grigolai. He carries some nonsense and nonsense mixed with nonsense. He does not even live in Abkhazia, and is a gurzin who "ran out" from here back in 1992 when the Abkhaz tore the Georgians as a result Georgian-Abkhaz war (1992-1993).

For any issue related to Abkhazia, you can call my Russian phone +79054056006.

Welcome to Abkhazia !!!

Going to Abkhazia is dangerous, this region is not controlled by the official authorities, and the local “authorities” are more like a criminal element, the police do not fulfill their functions, they do not even really understand the laws that they have adopted, the people are very poor, therefore they are ready to go to extreme measures. You cannot get to Georgia through Abkhazia, it is prohibited at the legislative level. If you get to Georgia in a different way, then you don't have to worry about safety, there have not been any attacks on tourists in Georgia, the police are constantly in the city and perform their functions.
