I did hatha yoga a couple of years ago. I started without much physical training in the fitness room. At first it was hard and not comfortable. Nobody forces you to experience hellish pain. I performed all asanas according to my abilities. After 3 months I saw the first results - posture, stretching, and well-being improved. Besides, I lost a little weight. I didn't even know about back pain at that time.

Yoga is useful and safe if you approach it wisely. If you have no contraindications: diseases of the joints, spine, cholelithiasis, etc. (you can read about them on the Internet), then compliance with safety precautions and the instructor's recommendations will be enough to get a positive result from yoga classes.
