Not worth it. There is a joke, in which only a fraction of a joke: Consumers of multivitamins have the most expensive urine.

Simultaneous deficiency of three or more vitamins is extremely rare. We've seen this a couple of times. And in all cases it was B9, B12 and D.

It is important to distinguish between deficiency and deficiency. This is usually seen in the test results. Even references are often tuned for this. For example, the same vitamin D. The deficiency is from 10 - 30 ng / ml, and the deficiency is below 10 ng / ml. You need to treat this and that. Only the doses will be different.

What to do if you really want to drink vitamins, right up to gnashing in your teeth (this, by the way, is a completely different problem, not connected with vitamins at all)? And we want to do everything right, but without visiting a doctor, but simply passing tests and deciding what to drink.

In an ideal world, this will not work. If you include an excellent student's syndrome, then you need to pass tests for ALL vitamins and, according to the results, together with the DOCTOR, select a complex. One snag, even with our discounts all vitamins will cost about 15 thousand. At the same time, according to the results, most of them will most likely be normal.

Drinking or not drinking multivitamins, that is the question ... I will not give you the answer to this question, this is everyone's personal business.

On the one hand, the dosage in multivitamin complexes is lower or equal to the daily norm. There are studies that say that vitamins from tablets are less absorbed, which means that there is less chance of an overdose.

On the other hand, multivitamins are dietary supplements, not drugs. The production of dietary supplements is not so strongly regulated. In addition, the selection of multivitamins often raises questions. There are vitamins that are not friends with each other, but for some reason turn out to be in one tablet.

There is a list of tests that can be considered for delivery before starting to drink multivitamins. But they are not associated with the level of vitamins.

When a magic pill enters the body, it decomposes in the intestines. Part of the vitamins goes into the blood, the rest continues the journey and leaves the body along with what is not customary to talk about in a decent society. How many vitamins from the pill remain in the blood is difficult to say. It depends on the state of the gastrointestinal tract and other characteristics of your body.

Now let's look at the blood. It travels through the kidneys and liver. Before drinking vitamins, it is worth checking how they work.

The kidneys are our filters. If they do something, they can keep everything in the blood that gets into it. Then vitamins will accumulate and an overdose may occur.

The liver is a multitasking organ, and a reader, and a reaper and a gamer. Converts substances, stores trace elements, neutralizes toxins. The liver can suffer from uncontrolled intake of dietary supplements. Or if it initially does not work at full capacity, then vitamins line up for processing. Which is also not good.

Another organ that can be checked before taking multivitamins is the thyroid gland. This is one of the leaders of metabolism. She can turn everything aroundog on the head. If it is too active or lazy, the effect of taking a multivitamin can be unexpected.

Often, an overdose is much more dangerous than a deficiency. And even seemingly small dosages in the end can lead to not the most rosy consequences.

Remember, you can get most of the vitamins from your daily diet. In pursuit of health, the main thing is not to lose common sense, otherwise you can leave the race.

So, here is the list of tests:
Kidneys - Glomerular filtration rate. This is a complex of creatinine, urea and albumin and the very rate of glomerular filtration.
Liver - ALT, AST and bilirubin with fractions.
Thyroid - TSH and T4 free.

You shouldn't bother with vitamins. If you suspect that you have something "missing" - go to a good therapist. That is good, correct, proven, your own, on the recommendation, for money. But in general, it is very, well, very difficult in the modern world to get a situation when something is missing, from vitamins naturally.
