February, 2021Not an expert in this matter. But I think so. At least because I'm tired of seeing and interacting with not sleeping enough vegetables every day, given that the vast majority of human activity of any kind occurs during daylight hours.
For me personally, sleep is nothing more than a kind of rest (and mandatory / forced), I do not dream at all and each time I "fall" into darkness and fall out of it in the morning. I don’t know what it’s connected with.
The standard sleep timing for me is 00:30 - 07:00. Anyone who wants to sleep peacefully and not suffer from insomnia, I strongly recommend making a sleep schedule and getting rid of the so-called "sleep off at the weekend." In general, it is even sad that so much time of life is allotted to such, in many aspects useless (except for physical condition), thing like sleep - I would be extremely happy to get rid of sleep forever.

February, 2021Most organisms on the planet are synchronized with sunlight. According to this rhythm, in the evening and at night, a person produces the hormone melatonin, which is responsible for sleep: its maximum concentration in the body is in the first half of the night, and by five in the morning it drops sharply. Light interferes with melatonin, because when it hits the retina, it suppresses the production of this hormone. By the way, if you put a person in a room where there are no light sources or clocks, he will develop his own rhythm. Such experiments were carried out: some people in similar circumstances switch to a 70-hour cycle, that is, they sleep 35 hours and then stay awake for 35 hours; others for 12 hours. But most people continue to function in a 25-hour cycle (the Sun adjusts to 24 us) with seven to eight hours of sleep at night.
