January, 2021Hello. I've damaged my health with various fasts and now I cannot fast in Ramadan. Constant pain in the digestive tract. I very easily went without food for even 5 or more days, and now I can't even help but eat for 1 day. Rather, I can, but no more than 18 hours. And at night, as now I have to eat, I cannot shove food into myself. and I don't eat at 2 am. what should I do ? Is it possible to shorten the fast due to discomfort in the digestive tract? I don't want to quit at all, I just want to shorten the time!
Answer 2
January, 2021Certain groups of people are harmful. For example, many people experience Dehydration, especially if the days are hot during Ramadan. According to medical research, out of 1.57 billion Muslims, approximately 90 million get migraines during Ramadan. The likelihood of heatstroke and general exhaustion of the body, disturbances in sleep and nutrition also increases.
But people who find it too difficult to observe Ramadan are not recommended to do this - pregnant women and those who have health problems. As a rule, in this case, it is advisable to commit an act of mercy towards those in need (it is elementary to present food to the poor).
For those who have health problems, it is recommended to balance proteins, fats and carbohydrates in their food; do not overstrain, both in physical and mental work; get enough sleep and limit your exposure to the sun.
In general, if there are health problems or sucking out the risk of their occurrence, then it is better not to fast, and if you do, then in a reduced version - at least drink water and eat a little.
