Labkovsky "I do what I like" and "I do not do what I don’t like to do", i.e. I try not to endure anything, so I did not show any effort of will when I was struggling with addiction. If you fight yourself, you are losing to yourself, so in the case of sugar and any other addiction, the first thing you need to understand is that you have a real DEPENDENCE. You do not like sweets, you are DEPENDENT on them, most likely because you seize them with stress (for example, I did this). You see, you will never give up what you love, so the most important thing in my way to understand that sugar is not the love of your life, but a friend who annoys you, but against whose background you look cool. Understand that you gobble up sugar, use alcohol or drugs, not out of a great love for these substances, but from chemical addiction. Then he will let you go. It let me go.

I'll tell you as a person who succeeded. Since childhood, I loved sweets very much; eating a pound of sweets at a time is not a problem for me at all. But with age, metabolism slows down and candies begin to be deposited where they do not belong at all. Yes, and the painful afternoon desire to eat sweets is annoying.

I have tried many times to refuse sweets. Once I did not eat sweets for a couple of weeks and even began to indifferently look at the chocolate in the store, but as soon as the ban was violated, everything went on again. Other attempts were less successful - several days of abstinence invariably ended in a foray into the bakery department. And yet I did it. How?

At first I just ate sweet food. For a while, I did not limit myself in anything, until I felt that I was slightly released and I was ready for a new attempt. Then I removed all sweets from the diet, except for fruits. I left the fruit in the amount of 2 pieces a day - and so on for 2 weeks. It is worth thinking in advance whether there will be birthdays during this period or other feasts when you can break loose. At critical moments, when it seems that you will sell your own mother now for chocolate, you can suck on barberry-type candies, but it's better to just endure. Self-hypnosis also helped me, every day I mentally said to myself "I don't like sweets."

After 2 weeks I tried chocolate. I didn't throw it into myself, as before, but just tried it. I opened it, took out a tile and began to observe my feelings. I asked myself: "Do I like it?", "Do I want more?" - and was surprised to find that some of it was too sweet. I literally physically felt my taste buds go wild with so much sugar. There was no desire to eat all the tiles and go for the second. There was no thought that it was the food of the gods. This was the first victory, but I was in no hurry to rejoice yet. From that moment on, I was very suspicious of all sugar-containing. Then I was visiting a friend, where there was a poppy roll on the table. I ate one bite and didn't feel like it anymore. The curd rings remained completely intact. Previously, I would have diminished both the rings and half of the roll, and I would not eat the other half just out of politeness. That evening I realized that it seems that I really managed to get out of sugar addiction.

In addition, I began to notice that my head seemed to clear up - I began to think more soberly, to work more productively, and all my problems seemed to be decomposed on the shelves and some turned out to be not problems at all. What now? I eat sweets at a party or at work, if I am treated, but I do it consciously - I concentrate on the taste, I ask myself if I like it. All sweets are now too sweet for me, the feeling of euphoria has sunk into oblivion. After lunch, I do not break as a drug addict, I can drink tea and I'm fine - it's better than sex. A chocolate bar has been at home for a month now and is waiting for guests, because I don't want it. I am still slightly shocked by this. Hope my experience helps someone.
