  1. There are currently no effective anti-aging drugs that can significantly lifespan and have been fully tested.

  2. For example, recently the geneticist Elizabeth Parrish conducted an experiment on herself and changed her genes , which in theory should extend her life by a couple of decades. And the study of her analyzes after the procedure really showed that the necessary genes were changed. However, it is not known exactly how this will affect the duration of her life in the future.

  3. In most countries, such experiments on humans are prohibited , and this experiment is not scientifically proven, since the subject was only one person , and this is not enough for a full-fledged experience. There are many other ways that research is being conducted to prolong life, slow down or stop aging.

  4. Even if one of the methods turns out to be "working" today, it will take enough time for it to become generally available. First, full-fledged experiments on animals are needed, this is 5-10 years, it is also necessary to change the legislation, which will also take time, given the negative public opinion of some segments of the population, and only then will the tests on people, which will take the same time. After that, perhaps 20 years later, such a medicine will become available, but most likely very expensive. And only after some more time will it become cheaper and become available to each. It may not be particularly expensive, it depends on the complexity of the technology. But the fact that research will take time is for sure.

  5. Another important point is that any serious discovery or high-tech production is impossible to hide . Such discoveries are not made in clandestine laboratories run by the CIA ... or in the movies?

P.S. one of the "cures" for old age is already on sale, by the way, and for a long time. And only 100 rubles, and completely safe. The pineal gland hormone is melatonin.

  • Regulates sleep cycles
  • Slows down the aging process
  • The strongest antioxidant
  • Increases the formation of antibodies
  • Antineoplastic effect
  • Anti-stress effect
  • Immunostimulating effect
With age, the production of melatonin by the pineal gland slows down after 20-25 years. Therefore, people in old age do not sleep well, and other effects of melatonin also become less pronounced. Obviously, if you are 40 or older, you need extra melatonin.

When it comes to a cure for old age, apparently, we mean geroprotectors. Currently, the effectiveness of rapamycin has been confirmed in mice, it can be bought, although it is prescribed in special cases (to prevent the rejection of transplanted organs). I would not advise eating it to prolong life, since its effect on the human body with prolonged use has not been fully studied, moreover, there is evidence that its intake increases the risk of cancer and diabetes. It seems that the problem with diabetes can be solved by concurrent administration of metmorphine, but the problem of oncological side has not been solved yet.
