I think it is best to consult a dentist about this. For the concept of "bad teeth" is too general. If the "disease" is a banal dentin caries, and even not very deep, you can do just fine with good fillings and not uproot your mouth in vain, in a little more serious cases, nerve removal, canal cleaning and filling may again be enough. The fact is that prosthetics (namely a full-fledged prosthesis, not a crown) is a tedious, slow-moving business (since before that you still need to completely remove all replaced teeth), and even not cheap (I could be wrong, since the prices for prosthetics are not specifically I was interested in being unnecessary, but not so long ago I came across figures of the order of 20-30,000 rubles for one prosthesis in a mid-level clinic in Moscow). So I'm not sure if it's worth it if there is an opportunity to save teeth using less radical methods.
