Ege
I am 16 years old (17 in December), this year I pass the exam.
At the same time, I want to go swimming (2 times a week) and go to the gym (3 times a week after 6:30). The gym is more of a whim than a necessity. But after studying the topic of brain activity, I came across data that mental activity decreases after 6 pm.
I wake up at 5, and fall asleep at 9-10 (planning preparation related to memorization in the morning).
Will physical activity negatively affect preparation? And how to combine it correctly? And, if possible, links to the study of this issue.
Answer 1
April, 2021Physical activity will not negatively affect mental abilities in any way. Sports activities will help at least to distract from the preparation for the EGE. Add some positive emotions here ... Great change of occupation. The main thing is that there should not be too many of these emotions. It will be very difficult to concentrate in the future. And also, the duration of the workout is no more than an hour once a day so that the workouts do not take too much time.
Answer 2
April, 2021Not only will exercise not interfere with exam preparation, it will also ease mental stress . You still can't cram day and night, you need to be distracted by something, change activities, and sport is the best assistant in this matter.
Thanks to swimming and the gym blood circulation and posture will improve (pupils and students usually have problems with this), it will have a positive effect on well-being, and good health will not hurt you at all.
In addition, it is believed that swimming contributes to improvement intellectual abilities : to stay and move in the water, you need to coordinate movements, in addition, deep breathing during the swim helps to saturate the blood and brain with oxygen . It will be especially beneficial for the brain to change your swimming style several times in one workout.
Swimming will also strengthen the nervous system - this effect has cool water on the body, it will be easier for you to fall asleep after visiting the pool.
As for the gym, workouts will also be beneficial, but it is better to plan them so that you can finish the session 3-4 hours before bedtime, otherwise you may have problems falling asleep (not everyone has individually).
