January, 2021Hair loss is a natural process.
Hair growth is cyclical. There are 3 phases (cycles) of hair growth:
The active growth phase (anagen), which lasts from 2 to 7 years. The bulb consists of cells that are dividing intensively to form hair. In some parts of the body, for example, on the head, most (80%) of the hair is in this phase. During the anagen period, the hair contains a sufficient amount of melanin.
The regressive phase (catagen), which lasts from 10 to 20 days. During this period, the hair stops growing, but does not fall out yet. About 3-4% of the body hair is in this phase. During the catagen period, the follicle shrinks and contracts, which leads to hair loss.
Resting phase (telogen), which lasts from 6 weeks to 6 months. During the telogen period, old hair falls out and new hair begins to grow. The hair follicle at this time cannot be epilated.
There is a physiological rate of hair loss. It ranges from 50 to 150 hairs per day.
If the hair falls out constantly and its density does not decrease, then there is nothing to worry about.
If the hair begins to fall out more than usual and you you already see thinning, it is better to consult a trichologist.
He will prescribe tests.
It is better not to delay with this. If you miss the moment, alopecia can begin and then you have to hide the problem with hair extensions or a hair thickener.

January, 2021Tie your hair with an elastic band, at the end of the day, run your hand through your hair and count. If the number exceeds 100, there is reason to think, if it exceeds 300, there is a reason to start to panic a little. In general, there is something wrong with the hair, when you very often begin to notice them separately from the head: on the pillow, on the collar of clothes, on the floor in the apartment, or when, when combing over the sink, it becomes covered with hair. Especially strong loss occurs after washing. Bad news: this process cannot be stopped in a short period of time. Bad news number two: going to a trichologist is unlikely to solve anything. You will be 100% ascertained a problem, regardless of whether it is available, and will be offered an expensive course of treatment that will not help, and you will panic even more. The good news is that hair loss can still be stopped by diagnosing the cause. And not a trichologist will help you with this, but analyzes in the district clinic.

January, 2021Run your hand or comb through your hair several times while standing over the sink. Then count the number of hairs that have fallen onto the sink. It is considered normal if a person loses from 60 to 100 (in some sources - up to 150) hairs per day. It is difficult to estimate how much hair you lost before manipulating the sink, but if you counted the amount close to the upper limit on the sink, then you should attend to finding out the reasons and possible treatment.
There is one more test. It is recommended not to wash your hair for 3-4 days. Run your hand through your hair like a comb. If there are 5 or more hairs left between your fingers, it's time to think about going to the trichologist.
You can also observe the amount of hair remaining on the pillow after sleeping and compare the results with the results of the first experiment in the bathroom.
I also note that when shampooing, hair falls out more easily and more, as it becomes heavier. Brushing wet hair is also not advised for the same reason.
