Bulimia can have many causes, but all of them are associated with the fact that with the help of bulimia anxiety is reduced, which, gradually accumulating, becomes too much, so much that the psyche cannot cope (there is a danger of suicide, schizophrenia, psychosomatics or something else something). Bulim attacks are automatically triggered and relieve tension.

If bulimic tendencies are forcibly removed, then some other mental disorder will appear, for example, compulsive overeating or alcoholism. Thus, bulimia is a defense mechanism (like any addiction) for our psyche. Therefore, our body will hold on to its preservation with all its might.

It is practically impossible to cure bulimia completely independently without seeking help, just like other addictions. People with bulimia have attitudes that provoke its appearance, but it is practically impossible to identify these attitudes on their own and, moreover, to cure them.

But if you treat bulimia with experienced specialists who will guide you in self-treatment then it is quite possible. You can try to find an RPP specialist who will agree for some minimum payment, which is also possible. You can also go to a paid hospital, it will be much more expensive.

If you do not have money for bulimic attacks, nor for treatment, then bulimia will pass, but something else will appear in its place.

You can try to contact a state mental hospital, the main thing is to find a psychologist or psychotherapist there who can cure you without medication. This is how lucky.

With bulimia, it is unsafe to start with intuitive eating, since there is an eating disorder - bouts of overeating.

I will tell you what program is used to treat bulimia at the IntuEat Center - I recreate the most effective Western treatment models at the Center, since I live and work in Western Europe.

First, we deal with nutritional structuring. The module is called SDA - Down With Diet Program. You learn to eat without restriction, but regularly and on time, which prevents binge eating very effectively.

Next comes the emotional regulation module. Bulimia is needed to manage emotions, and we train bulimics to cope with emotions in a different way - using the method of dialectical-behavioral therapy.

This is followed by the intuitive nutrition training module - free, harmonious, hunger and satiety-oriented nutrition.

The whole cycle takes about a year.

You can do it yourself, but it is difficult.
To help yourself, you can read certain literature. I would advise Svetlana Bronnikova, she helped many people with the treatment of these diseases. You need to analyze yourself, your emotions, attitude to food, every meal, and so on. It is necessary to delve a lot and deeply into yourself, because eating disorders are in our heads.
I also advise you to stick to an intuitive diet, which can hardly be called a specific nutritional system. Bronnikova writes about this in detail in her blog and book.
I wish recovery to everyone who daily asks the same question as the author.
