January, 2021Memories of a person are conditioned reflexes. The conditioned reflex is destroyed on average within 40 days (if it is not reinforced by stimuli in the form of emotional reactions to memories).
The reasons for persistent memories of past relationships are that there is an unfinished process to which thoughts return all the time. The process of forgetting a person due to non-acceptance of the experience of separation or loss does not end. Mentally, the person returns to this unfinished story to try to figure out and understand what happened. But obsessive thoughts due to resentment and self-pity bring pain and anguish.
The best way to forget a person is to learn self-regulation of emotions through self-hypnosis and self-hypnosis, or seek help from a hypnologist

January, 2021There is an opinion that in order to forget a person you need to live half of the time that was lived with him. However, in reality, everything is purely individual. You can forget in a short time, or you can remember until old age, it depends not even on the amount of time spent together, but on the circumstances under which the parting took place and who initiated it, i.e., is this person your gestalt ... They say that time heals. But, of course, it is not time itself that heals, as such, passing after the break, but new people appearing in your life during this period and bright events that displace the past from memory.
