RPP criteria according to the ICD -10:

Anorexia nervosa: extremely low weight, intense fear of weight gain, impaired body image

Bulimia nervosa: repeated bouts of overeating (large amounts of food in a short period of time), feeling of loss control, compensatory behavior (vomiting, laxatives, excessive physical exertion), exceptional focus on weight and body shape, seizures of at least 1 r / week for 3 months.

Paroxysmal overeating: repeated episodes of overeating ( high rate of eating, feeling of heaviness, eating alone, decreased mood), significant distress, lack of compensatory behavior, episodes are repeated once / a week for 3 months.

There are different methods of diagnosing an eating disorder (EID): medical (according to ICD-10) and psychological (according to the client's subjective assessment). More details about this are written in the article here.

Medinsky diagnostics is associated with meals - if you eat in accordance with the generally accepted scheme - there is no diagnosis, with deviations from the generally accepted scheme - there is a diagnosis, plus a change in weight.

Medical diagnosis reveals the consequences of RPP, psychological is more focused on the causes that lie in the psyche. More details about the causes of RPD are written in the article here.

The psychological diagnosis is based on the peculiarities of thinking of people with RPD.

Usually people like this:

  • hate their body,

  • have low self-esteem,

  • in life they often manifest themselves in the role of a victim,

  • often devalue themselves,

  • constantly feel a sense of shame and guilt to one degree or another,

  • their motivation is based on avoiding strong feelings of shame or guilt,

  • they were obedient children as children.

All other singing can be very different due to individual characteristics. For example, the behavior can vary from hysterics to complete depression, from small to large weight, from refusing to eat to eating inedible items.

To understand your situation, it is better to turn to experienced psychologists or psychotherapists for RPP.
