Hello, I have a question for specialists. In December 2020, for the first time such a state arose, namely, when you go to bed, your heart begins to beat faster, and against this background, there is a lack of inhalation-exhalation somewhere in the esophagus. Against this background, excitement arises, the fear that now I can not breathe and my heart will stop. With all this, there are no other symptoms. The temperature is always normal, the heart does not hurt, there is no cough. Today I went and donated blood, hemoglobin is slightly reduced, I did an ECG, the norm, but I have such states of "lack of inhalation-exhalation, plus palpitations" occur only around 11 pm. And for the first time - this morning? Tomorrow the therapist decided to wear another halter for me, to spend the night with him. I'm worried, what if I have heart problems or lung problems? All sorts of thoughts ... In March, this was also seven times, in April, too, 5 times, last week everything was fine, and slept like a "baby", and the day before yesterday - again, fell asleep intermittently. The neurologist also had a, they said that neurosis, strong internal stress, survived, or saved up and now "shot". Plus there is scoliosis. Prescribed sedatives. Question: this is exhausting, it has never happened, and on you (Is it really always this way now, but if you go outside ...?, Like today, and a feeling of lack of air arose in the esophagus for 20 minutes ... I’m only 34 I don’t smoke, I don’t drink ... For a healthy lifestyle always. Maybe hormones also affect? Drops? Thyroid? (also checked, predisposition to thyroiditis, but hormones are normal)
Answer 1
February, 2021This could be a panic attack.
I advise you to check the heart first, if nothing is found, then it is definitely a panic attack and then it is better to neurologist.
In the meantime, at home, do exercises with breathing (very helpful in such conditions), relax the body with meditation.
Answer 2
February, 2021It looks like an anxiety and vegetative manifestations in the form of palpitations and hyperventilation syndrome. In this case, there is a feeling of dissatisfaction with inhalation and it is impossible to yawn. But this feeling is completely different compared to the lack of air during exercise. I am dealing with hyperventilation syndrome, you can contact me for a consultation, I will try to help. www.buzunov.ru
