I was left-handed from an early age. She did everything with her left: she wrote, held scissors, a knife, brushed her teeth and so on. But at some point, at about 16 years old, it just became uncomfortable for me to use my left hand, since many things are adapted for right-handed people. I did not have any problems using the other hand, it was unusual at first, because, one might say, the hand had slept for 16 years, but then it was woken up and forced to work immediately. I didn't get used to it for long, now I freely use both hands. I don’t know how much it can be argued that I taught myself to write with the right hand, but rather just adapted it.

Right-handed since birth, but thanks to playing the piano, the fine motor skills of the left hand have developed a lot. Then the teacher at the art school made me learn to draw with my left hand too, so somehow it happened by itself to write with my left hand and do various daily activities.

Left-handed from birth. I also write a little on the right, I studied independently out of interest. However, I can write on the board with both hands, sometimes I don’t even notice which hand I’m doing it with.

While learning to play the piano, I never experienced any discomfort.

But working at the computer, I use the manipulator with my right hand, because I was initially accustomed. Hence the conclusion: training will help us.

How does a person generally understand that he is ambidextrous?

I have always written with my right hand, but I do many things with my left, my left is developed as usual for a musician - violinist, pianist. I tried to write with my left hand and suddenly found out that it is easier for me to write in a mirror image with my left hand than in the usual direction. Tests show equally good development in both hemispheres. Probably, many people, without suspecting, are ambidextrous in their infancy, and experience allows you to develop this or not.

I cannot say for certain whether I am an ambidexter, a hidden left-hander, or a person who initially followed the principle: if one hand is tired, the other should be loaded with work. Before school, she drew with equal success with both hands and was equally good, or rather, poorly written with both hands. The only problem was with adults who required to use only their right hand.

I am left-handed, I was retrained to write with the right at a very early age, even before the ability, in fact, to display letters. I do the rest with my left. I can write with my left hand without any problems, the handwriting, as noted above, is like that of a preschool child. Interestingly, I can write with my left hand in a mirror image. I did not specifically study this.

I am somewhat ambidextrous: I was left-handed, but I voluntarily retrained myself to be right-handed even at preschool age. I write with both hands, although the left one is a little slower and not so confident - there is little practice. I can use spoons, forks, knives, scissors with any hand without any problems at all.

That is, yes, I learned to write with my left hand - as a preschool child writes. You can see it in the handwriting. There is no substitute for training.
