At first glance, this is a perfectly reasonable strategy. If young people, being virgins, get married and become each other's only partners, then we will defeat STDs and take morality to a new level.

Unfortunately, for a number of reasons this is not entirely true.

1. A number of diseases are transmitted not only through sexual intercourse. For example, you can contract HIV during a manicure procedure if you use non-disposable instruments (since the virus is transmitted through biological fluids, including blood). You can also get infected with syphilis through blood (for example, through blood transfusion). Chlamydia can be spread in the home, such as from dirty hands to eyes or genitals. Those. these diseases are not only sexually transmitted, despite the name.

2. Typically, people start wanting to have sex during their early teens. Years at 13-14. And it is quite difficult for most to endure up to 18 years old. Especially if a person has a high sexual constitution (some people organically need several times a day, and puberty occurs at 8-9 years old. This is not a disease, and there are about 1% of such people on Earth, i.e. we are talking about at least 70 million people.

3. Marrying someone who hasn’t had sex is risky. This is a very important part of a relationship and a mismatch in this area can make a marriage unhappy. about who needs how often. And how exactly. And how long it takes. In general, for a harmonious marriage, coincidence in the intimate sphere is not the only condition, but it is important.

4. Many people cheat on their spouses. It's sad, but it's true in life. This is done by both men and women. This happens at different stages of marriage. Sometimes once, sometimes systematically. This is mostly silent and hidden, according to for obvious reasons, i.e., to consider that the family automatically assumes the presence of a single sexual partner is ivno.

5. There are easier ways to prevent STDs. Perhaps this is the main thing. For example, it is much easier to teach adolescents to use condoms and explain how disease is transmitted than to prevent them from having sex. So the sheep are safe and the wolves are fed. People do not ignore their needs, and security remains at the proper level.

6. In general, the strategies of bans on sexuality education and education, the promotion of conservative values and abstinence do not work. They have been applied in all countries, at different times. And nowhere did this lead to the desired results. Conversely, countries that followed the path of normal sex education have succeeded. Look at the statistics of teenage pregnancies, abortions and the number of diseases in Russia and, say, Austria.

Obscurantism is called obscurantism because it is an attempt to impose methods that require great sacrifice and do not work. Those. it is simply deliberately unreasonable and even dangerous, because such propaganda often leads onlyto the growth of negative consequences.

Family life is not a 100% guarantee against contracting STDs. Simply because one of the spouses can go "left" and infect their faithful life partner with something.
