They are considered real diseases. This is an addictive behavior that patients cannot control on their own. Such diseases are united by a group of mental disorders called addictions. Addictions also include alcoholism and drug addiction.

Of course. These are real-life mental disorders. In his right mind, a person will not deplete his body, leading him to death, or watch his hair and teeth fall out, and continue to puke.

I went through this myself and more than once heard that these things are nonsense and "I just had to eat right and not do bullshit"

Anorexia / bulimia - addiction to hunger / food and the obsession that a person must either be thin or die, so yes, this is considered diseases.
