I don’t know why it pisses you off, but there is a funny story related to the fact that smokers are not that great, but not a schmuck definitely:

My friend returned home drunk at night. I walked through a very vicious district. Seeing two young people in his visual radius, the idea came to him to shoot a cigarette at them. Although he himself is a little catty, he is very polite and pleasant in communication. After asking for a treat, in response he heard a completely unexpected message in "three funny letters." Then he flew into a rage and gave a boor in the face, sending him to KO. Then the second traveler entered into a fight with him: he grabbed by the collar his very funny sheepskin coat made of artificial fur, a la fist from the nineties, and tore off the top button that protected his chest from the wind. So the second traveler was defeated and was laid on the ground. Later, my friend, noticing the absence of a button, did not get confused: he "borrowed" a scarf from one of the boors. Then he went on.

I had a story. In the subway at the Komsomolskaya station, he helped an elderly couple lift their belongings. Thanked. They smiled. I got out of the subway and lit a cigarette. And suddenly 10 young guys surrounded me. Introduced themselves as activists of something. They had a video camera, a spray bottle of green liquid and a bottle with cigarette butts. "You smoke in the wrong place," they said smiling. "You are right, I will throw away the cigarette," I replied. "No, throw in this bottle," they squealed, filming their video and instructing the spray bottle. I gave it up. Ashamed, embarrassing. 5 minutes ago I, an almost 50 year old man, helped an elderly couple. On the street I met a gang of young fighters against smoking. Hu from hu?

And about the "enrage" - with the adoption of the law on smoking in in public places, you either do not see smokers at all, or you can simply turn to the nearest servant of the law (the fine is near the mower, but it’s still a shame).
