Currently, many medicines have been developed that are sold in pharmacies without a prescription. Of course, it is best to consult a doctor regarding the possibility and appropriateness of their use, since even mild drugs can have serious contraindications and side effects.

Choosing a drug

Often people who want to understand , how to remove the craving for alcohol, try to cope with it without resorting to additional means that could help in this regard. This is not a very sensible decision. Alcohol addiction is extremely harmful and difficult to eliminate, so any means in the fight against it are good in their own way.

  • Expral;
  • Torpedo;
  • Disulfiram;
  • Teturam;
  • Colme;
  • Lidevin.

These products are not 100% safe and can only be used after consulting a doctor. The 2nd group of drugs includes those that help to eliminate the desire to take a new dose of alcohol. Means of this type may include:

  • Propped 100;
  • Balance sheet;
  • Metadoxil;
  • Vivitrol.

My personal experience! I want to share my story of recovery, suddenly someone will come in handy. The worst thing here is that you don't notice how you get drunk and think all the time that you can stop at any moment. It dawned on me that enough was enough after I drunk frostbitten legs and nearly lost them. I went to the clinic, where they didn’t make me a different drug addict, they injected me with morphine during withdrawal. I went to a narcologist, he prescribed special drops. Didn't know it was so easy to quit drinking! At first, of course, there was discomfort, the hand, so to speak, reached for the glass, but there was no withdrawal and depression, nothing like that. I suffered a little, I drank drops for a month and now I do not drink for more than 3 years. For anyone interested, you can read an interesting article in detail here.

Yes, of course, there is a way out. Which one depends on the brain damage. After all, no one takes into account how adequate the patient's brain is at the moment when we ask him to give up alcohol. A simple example: a well-fed hungry person is not a friend, or even easier. Do you think that being a 35 year old healthy man with a 2 year old child will understand you? No! Definitely not. It is important to understand how adequate the patient is, and only after that decide what measures to take. If the case is launched, then there are only critical measures that go against the will. As for the ironic willpower, there is such a moment. As long as a person is adequate and alcohol does not dominate the hormonal system, but specifically the dopamine system, then we can show the gift of persuading the harm of alcohol. Since the brain is still compassionate, and if a miracle happens and a man, not a beast, will win in it. Then victory. Well, if not ... Then no.
Conclusion. Not a single remedy, not a single shaman will help because hormones and willpower control us, and willpower is a large supply of energy. So forgive the truth, but a strong man will win! The weak will suffer from natural selection ...

Psychological courses "Conscious sobriety" helped my husband to cope with alcoholism. We passed them 5 years ago in Yaroslavl at the Zdrava Center at 63 Moskovsky Prospect. Before that we tried different methods: first we drank anti-alcoholic preparations - it was safe, of course, but it didn’t help us, then coding saved us, but not for long. After the courses, we realized: the point was that my husband, and I also had alcohol programs. They are responsible for the desire to drink alcohol, smoke, take drugs. Until you get rid of them - all the same, the desire to drink will not go anywhere. And if there is a desire, the alcoholic will always find an opportunity!

After the courses, the desire to use chemical poisons, i.e. alcohol, tobacco, drugs disappeared from both my husband and me. It turned out that for this it is enough to understand what kind of alcohol program you have: how it appeared and what behavior dictates. To do this, we did our homework: wrote maps of introspection, diaries, essays. After the courses, they also wrote diaries - this all motivates not to return back to alcoholic hell! And now we have been living happily for 5 years!
